Living with OCD can feel overwhelming, with intrusive thoughts, obsessions, and compulsions interfering with daily life. You don’t have to navigate this alone. Therapy provides a supportive space to help you understand and manage uncontrollable thoughts and behaviors, distinguish between different mental compulsions, and engage in effective exposure exercises tailored to your needs.

JL Psychotherapy offers personalized treatment plans that may include Acceptance Commitment Therapy, IFS, and/or Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard for OCD treatment. ERP helps you gradually confront fears and break free from compulsive cycles, allowing you to regain control and participate fully in your life.

For those needing additional support, off-site/in-home ERP is available to help you practice real-life exposures in a comfortable setting. Together, we can identify and overcome the obstacles hindering your growth and healing.

Trauma is not just about extreme events like violence or disasters. It can also stem from unmet emotional needs, attachment wounds, or ongoing distress that may have felt small at the time but left lasting effects.

If you have struggled with feeling unimportant, setting boundaries, managing anxiety, or navigating relationships, these may be signs of unresolved trauma. Even if you have happy childhood memories, something may have been missing—perhaps emotional attunement, validation, or a sense of safety.

Trauma can show up in many ways: racing thoughts, feeling overwhelmed, physical symptoms, anxiety, or patterns that feel hard to change. Whether from a single painful event or years of subtle distress, these experiences can shape how you see yourself and interact with the world.

You are not alone. Trauma therapy can help you process these experiences, understand your patterns, and regain your sense of self. Your story matters, and healing is possible.
